The Da Vinci Code

If you are one of the few who have not yet read The Da Vinci Code, because you were waiting for the movie to come out, let me tell you that you are missing on something really interesting and fun. Of course, the movie was indeed great and stuck to the storyline in the book; however, even though there are some “flirting” innuendos, they are not as heavy or as obvious like the ones portrayed by US movie producers.

And if you are amongst the fewer who do not know what is The Da Vinci Code; let me give you a short summary:

The book circles around the proposal that Leonardo Da Vinci was part of a secret society that swore to guard and protect the Holy Grail. It is not the cup that we all believe that was either used by Jesus at the Last Supper, or that contained His Blood at the foot of The Cross, but the transformation of the French term “Sang Real” or royal blood. Meaning that Jesus married Mary Magdalene, they had a child who had in turn children of his own and so on until our time.

Whether or not you believe it, it surely is worth reading. Do not waste your time with the movie - though it is good, it is not as good as the book. And if you want to know more, then you should continue with “The Last Merovingian” and “Holy Blood, Holy Grail”
