Many Lives Many Masters

Meditation has become a very popular activity; the Dalai Lama and his peaceful way of life, as well as the thousands that follow him, have had such an impact that the rest of the world turns to Tibet and frowns at what the Chinese government is doing to this peaceful and wonderful place in the world.

But if this is the “tip of the iceberg” so to speak, then, all of a sudden, old books such as “Life Before Life” and “Life After Life” slowly started to gain strength, and hypnosis became the trendiest thing for anyone who wanted to achieve mental calmness and knowledge. The book “Many Lives Many Masters” became a tide breaker proving – for many - that there was indeed life after death and that there was not precisely heaven and hell as Dante depicted in his “Divine Comedy”.

In “Many Lives Many Masters”, the author states the case that he experienced for the first time when he used hypnosis to treat a female patient that presented with a multitude of psychological problems such as phobias, tics and other mental ailments. Since then, the books from Dr. Brian Weiss have become text books for many self-taught scholars and other mental health professionals who agree with him, and believe that hypnosis might be the key that humanity was waiting to plunge into the collective mind.

If you haven’t read it, it’s a nice proposal, not too devoted to “convincing” you, it just presents the facts in a very light manner, you can finish the book the same afternoon.

Silver Thread

Yoga has become a popular practice for everyone. If you walk by any gym and you enter one, chances are that you will find at least two or three classes of yoga practices available. Activities such as meditation have swept across the globe like the dawn of a new era, where the first and foremost responsibility of the human race is to enter a state of wellness and wellbeing. Despite this, those who practice Yoga, meditate, and cry to the world that they are OK are still committing criminal, neglectful, and inhuman acts.

For those of us who are willing to learn more of what it really means to meditate and have such power, a good choice is to read Lobsang Rampa’s “Silver Thread” where he narrates in a very vivid and instructional manner the responsibilities and limits of meditation and the power that it entails.

Of course, this is not the only book written by Lobsang Rampa. “Silver Thread” is just one of them, though it is probably the most adequate to start with, especially if the reader is just beginning to understand the power and responsibility that entails the ability to “loose the body” and travel through space and time at the speed of thought

“The Last Merovingian” & “Holy Blood, Holy Grail”

If you are looking to see whether or not Jesus actually married Mary Magdalene or not, you will have to look, dig, and read a lot. Of course, since the success of “The Da Vinci Code” each day more and more writers are trying to get their “piece of the pie” and have written on the subject; some of them are actually interesting and others are just a pile of words and a terrible and sad waste of paper.

However, “The Da Vinci Code” was based on other works that were issued a long time before this successful novel. One of them is “The Last Merovingian”, that deals with the last descendant of Merove, the supposed son of Jesus and Mary Magdalene. In this novel, the author states that this breed and “their father”, in some sort of resemblance to the Roman and Greek mythology, somehow orchestrates all the events that have changed the life of the human race, where the demi-gods were able to talk and ask their God Parents for favors and help.

Other book that you should read is “Holy Blood, Holy Grail”, where its authors state that there was a curator that all of a sudden became rich, and that he held the key to an unexplained mystery that would rock the very foundations of Christianity.

Whatever you choose to believe, either of these books will constitute a nice coffee reading; do not take them as if they were the ultimate truth.

The Da Vinci Code

If you are one of the few who have not yet read The Da Vinci Code, because you were waiting for the movie to come out, let me tell you that you are missing on something really interesting and fun. Of course, the movie was indeed great and stuck to the storyline in the book; however, even though there are some “flirting” innuendos, they are not as heavy or as obvious like the ones portrayed by US movie producers.

And if you are amongst the fewer who do not know what is The Da Vinci Code; let me give you a short summary:

The book circles around the proposal that Leonardo Da Vinci was part of a secret society that swore to guard and protect the Holy Grail. It is not the cup that we all believe that was either used by Jesus at the Last Supper, or that contained His Blood at the foot of The Cross, but the transformation of the French term “Sang Real” or royal blood. Meaning that Jesus married Mary Magdalene, they had a child who had in turn children of his own and so on until our time.

Whether or not you believe it, it surely is worth reading. Do not waste your time with the movie - though it is good, it is not as good as the book. And if you want to know more, then you should continue with “The Last Merovingian” and “Holy Blood, Holy Grail”
